Utah Tech Trailblazers held their home opener on Saturday night at Greater Zion Stadium. The show started half an hour before kickoff on the North East corner. The Trailblazer Pregame show, on 99.5 fm and 95.3 fm, gave fans a look into what they could expect in the matchup. Familiar voices on the station, Kaden Foremaster and Mark Musgrave with From The Bleachers, and Devin Dixon on The Drive gave their input on the matchup. The first half of play was a show of defense from both Utah Tech and Chadron State as the teams went into the locker room at halftime tied up 7-7. The second half, however, would be all Trailblazers.

The Trailblazers posted 49 points in the second half. Quali Conley rushed for a career high 139 yards with three touchdowns. Quarterback Kobe Tracy had another great passing night with 388 yards and three touchdowns. Two of those touchdowns came from the sophomore transfer from Washington State, Joey Hobert. Hobert finished the night with 161 yards on six receptions.
