Region 9 Sports
In Region 9 volleyball, Dixie was the only team in action Wednesday night, falling to Morgan in a five-set thriller. Tonight, Snow Canyon steps out of region play to take on Valley in a non-region matchup, while Desert Hills travels to Crimson Cliffs for a key Region 9 showdown.

On the soccer pitch, several big matchups are on tap tonight. Snow Canyon visits Cedar, Dixie heads to Crimson Cliffs, and Hurricane takes on Pine View.

Utah Tech Athletics
The Utah Tech Trailblazers volleyball team is back on the road, facing Cal Baptist. The Blazers enter the contest with the best record in the WAC at 10-3, while Cal Baptist sits at 5-9. Leading Utah Tech is outside hitter Kennedi Knudsen, a Gunnison High School product, who has already tallied 246 points this season with an impressive 226 kills.

Meanwhile, Trailblazer women’s soccer is also in action, facing Abilene Christian at 6 p.m. Utah Tech sits at 5-3-2 on the year, while ACU holds a 4-7 record. Kyah Le has been the spark for the Blazers, racking up 11 points so far this season as Utah Tech looks to strengthen its third-place standing in the WAC.

Southern Utah University
The SUU women’s soccer team will take on Tarleton State. The Thunderbirds are still looking to turn their season around with a 1-6-2 record, while Tarleton comes in at 6-4-2.

Pro Sports
On the ice, the Utah Mammoth are back home for the first time this preseason, hosting the LA Kings in a rematch. The Mammoth have just two preseason games left before the regular season begins.

The Vegas Golden Knights continue their strong start to the year, handing the Colorado Avalanche their first loss of the season with a 2-1 victory.
