Region 9 girls soccer is back in action today as teams hit the field for the second round of the state playoffs. Crimson Cliffs hosts Uintah, Desert Hills welcomes East, Snow Canyon takes on Judge Memorial, and Cedar travels north to face Green Canyon. Each matchup will determine who moves on to the quarterfinals as the postseason heats up across Utah.

In golf, Utah Tech’s David Liechty has received a sponsor exemption to compete in the Bank of Utah Championship at Black Desert Resort later this month. The tournament tees off October 23rd and will feature top golfers from around the country.

On the pro side, the Utah Jazz came up short in their third preseason matchup, falling to the Dallas Mavericks. Meanwhile, the Utah Mammoth suffered a 3–1 loss to the Blackhawks, and the Vegas Golden Knights are set to face the Calgary Flames tonight.
